Kevin Baltz is an experienced trial lawyer and business counselor with Baker Donelson in Nashville. His practice spans complex commercial disputes involving real estate, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, and finance, with experience representing clients in state and federal courts as well as arbitration proceedings.
Kevin has substantial experience in real estate and property-related litigation, including condemnation and eminent domain matters, declaratory judgment actions, wrongful foreclosure claims, easement disputes, lease disputes, and other real property claims. His broader practice includes contract disputes, class actions, product liability litigation, bad faith claims, and trust and estate matters, including conservatorships, will contests, and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
He has handled matters before state and federal courts and in proceedings administered by the American Arbitration Association, International Centre for Dispute Resolution, JAMS, and FINRA. Kevin is also a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed Mediator in General Civil Litigation and a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals.
Kevin has been recognized by the Tennessee Supreme Court as an “Attorney for Justice” for his pro bono service in 2021 and 2023 and has served on the Hearing Committee for Disciplinary District V. His professional affiliations include the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, and DRI. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Association and Nashville Bar Foundation.
