Louis Niedelman is a highly accomplished New Jersey trial lawyer with more than five decades of experience representing clients in complex civil litigation. A founding partner of Cooper Levenson, he has built a distinguished practice focused on insurance defense, insurance coverage disputes, construction defect litigation, condominium litigation, and the defense of automobile dealerships and their insurers throughout New Jersey. His extensive courtroom experience and strategic approach have earned him a reputation as a trusted advocate in high-stakes litigation.
Throughout his career, Louis has handled more than 2,000 litigated matters involving wrongful death, product liability, construction defect, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, professional malpractice, insurance coverage, condominium disputes, premises security, and dram shop litigation. Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants, he brings a balanced perspective to complex disputes and has successfully tried more than 225 jury cases, achieving favorable defense verdicts in the majority of them. He also has substantial mediation experience, representing parties in more than 100 state and federal mediations across New Jersey.
Louis is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, a distinction earned by fewer than two percent of attorneys licensed in the state. He is also a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an invitation-only organization recognizing exceptional trial skill, professionalism, and civility. Louis earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Temple University. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Since beginning his legal career in 1969, he has remained a respected leader in New Jersey civil litigation, providing strategic counsel to insurers, businesses, and individuals facing complex legal disputes.
